The upgrade has reportedly been delayed by around a year and customers will not be able to have higher speeds before spring 2010. One of the major restrictions is the limited number of BT engineers working in local exchanges.
Zen Internet also said that with the current number of engineers, the whole process of moving the current customers would take around eight months. This means the customers on 21CN enabled BT exchanges will have to wait for a long time to get the new ‘up to 20 Mb’ services.
