The Importance of Internet

Posted by admin on August 13, 2008 in Consumer Issues, Telecommunication Center

Have you ever imagined what life would be like without the Internet? To today’s generation, the Internet is not a matter of luxury, but one of absolute necessity. In fact, a government sponsored UK survey has recently commented on this notion, displaying it from an interesting perspective. The Internet is a crucial part of life, so crucial that you can parallel it to the oxygen which we require to survive - or to food, without which we will just shrivel and die. The Internet is a source of entertainment, information and communication.

Without the Internet, modern consumers must accustom themselves to reality, rather than the virtual platform by which they may now communicate. Real live face to face meetings? Communication without modern technology would not facilitate much functionality, especially in the business world.

Plusnet conducted a survey in the UK, which was implemented by YouGov. The results were startling indeed. It was quite clear from the statistics that British consumers would think twice before giving up their valuable web access. In fact, that they would even consider giving it up is very unlikely. The figures indicated that they would rather give up other every day luxuries or pleasures, than let go of their Internet access. The Daily Express claims that 92% of Britons would go to any length to retain their Internet access. Furthermore, 58% of them will not even consider changing their broadband provider. While 14% will give up eating out, another 12% will sacrifice going to the movies, and yet 30% would rather give up smoking or drinking. The Internet is their life blood. Britons would consider other ways of budget cutting, as long as it does not interfere with their Internet access.

Overall, the web itself has become a money saving tool rather than a luxury. It is turning Brits into smart shoppers. There are tons of ways that you can get money saving coupons, or find better bargains by doing price comparisons on the web, before you make purchases. There are also resources that can be used to keep utility bills down, or get good deals on insurance, mortgages etc. The web can offer so much, without it you are left at a disadvantage.

Zero Cost 12 Month Cell Phones

Posted by admin on July 29, 2008 in Consumer Issues, Telecommunication Center

An unconventional means of getting a cheap phone is by using a free line rental cell phone contract. 12 month free offers are the hidden bargain amongst all of the offers on the market today.

Without exception most cost effective place to purchase a free line rental contract is over the internet. As free line rental products are an unusual type of promotion it is sensible to to make use of a site comparing mobile phone deals to find the most competitively priced products at the time.

12 month free line rental deals are in reality 100% cashback deals where the entire cost paid by the redemption part of the deal equals the entire cost paid over the life of the contract. With this type of phone contract you must continue to pay the mobile bill just like normal for the earlier months before getting your cash back by redemption. At a later point in time in the deal you have to to claim all of the costs of the cellular phone back from the vendor which offered you the cellular phone.

In practice a 12 month free line rental phone contract does not cost any money to own. This is true only so long as the individual taking out the mobile contract properly makes their claim for 100% cashback by redemption. This is not quite as easy as it first seems as mobile phone dealers put in a few pre-requisites in the fine detail of free line rental contracts so they can limit the volume of successful customers.

Putting aside the potential problems of free line rental products they are absolutely genuine and potential customers can still obtain cost free cellular phone for full duration of a 12 month contract.

12 month free line rental is is always going to be a compromise, because they are only obtainable with older phones. The most serious risk of free line rental offers is the fact that if ever the vendor go out of business you will not be able to redeem your money.
